I’ve learned to love deadlines<\/strong> during my studying for the past 2ish years in different online courses. I’ve had some rush<\/strong> and also tiredness<\/strong> when studying Creative Design Management master’s studies<\/strong> this spring. But when a deadline is attacking to its fullest, the game is on<\/strong>. I change to an amazingly effective learning machine \ud83d\ude05<\/p>\n

Starting late<\/strong> is known as student syndrome, <\/strong>a phenomenon where people delay doing things until right before the deadline. I’m lucky to start doing things at least quite early with the tasks and keep myself in the rhythm.<\/p>\n

Deadlines are, of course, present in studying but in the work area. Working async and sync<\/strong> in remote environments, it’s crucial to prioritize<\/strong> to meet dates and deadlines and get the work done. I think it’s quite easy to keep up with different deadlines<\/strong> by creating effective<\/strong> practices<\/strong> to use digital<\/strong> tools<\/strong> and platforms to stay up to date with many tasks and dates. Frequent<\/strong> communication<\/strong> and transparency<\/strong> are key factors to be successful and productive with your work and those timelines, etc. Many companies also use daily check-ins<\/strong> to ensure smooth sailing in the sea of deadlines \ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n

Some effective strategies to meet the deadlines according to Solving Procrastination<\/strong> (https:\/\/lnkd.in\/dkkfxNZ4<\/a>) are:<\/p>\n

\u2618\ufe0f Start doing the studies early.
\u2618\ufe0f Identify your productivity cycles.
\u2618\ufe0f Start with small steps.
\u2618\ufe0f Start with the best or worst part first.
\u2618\ufe0f Set concrete and achievable goals, keep your goals in mind and focus on them.
\u2618\ufe0f Set intermediate deadlines.
\u2618\ufe0f Try the Pomodoro technique.
\u2618\ufe0f Anchor the great feeling when finishing the task and restoring it when needed.
\u2618\ufe0f Reward yourself when accomplishing your goals.<\/p>\n

According to studies (for example Effectiviology,\u00a0https:\/\/lnkd.in\/dgrxsf-A<\/a>), deadlines have some positives to them<\/strong>, like:<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udd06 Making goals and tasks feel more concrete.
\ud83d\udd06 Creating or increasing urgency.
\ud83d\udd06 Creating or increasing commitment.
\ud83d\udd06 Setting intermediate deadlines can help you figure out what exactly you should study and when. Also, planning this in advance means that when it\u2019s time to study, you can focus on studying, rather than on planning what to study.
\ud83d\udd06 Similarly, setting a deadline by which you have to publish a certain work can help ensure that you won\u2019t spend more time on it than necessary.<\/p>\n

And what about AI and other tech assistants<\/strong> to maybe help and inform with coming dates from the employees?<\/p>\n
