What’s the best online course like? Now I know the correct answer 😉 I studied a course “Instructional Design Principles” by Eduflow which was a great course. Reflecting upon that experience, the best online course should have for example the following features:
💡 USEFUL and NECESSARY: Provide the information you are seeking in a practical way where the theory is presented in an interesting way and that theory is put into practice with the concrete learning tasks.
💡 PRACTICAL: Practical templates, guides, etc. in the form of learning tasks are very effective and can be used straight away in your different job tasks.
💡 SOCIAL: Social learning activities with peer feedback are very powerful methods to learn more. You’ll learn also from other people effectively when you can give versatile feedback to their learning tasks and discussions.
💡 INDIVIDUAL: Make learning individual by forming interesting learning tasks to relate to your own situation. The learning tasks can include optional activities where you can even further deepen your knowledge.
💡 REFLECTIVE: Reflective actions and peer feedback to deepen your learning.
Educating employees is important in remote companies, and those elements are useful when creating learning resources for them. Online courses are one element of learning remotely so it’s good to have the skills to educate oneself remotely.
Those elements, and more, are fulfilled in the amazing Eduflow course “Instructional Design Principles”. Thank you William Cronje and the team for making such a great learning experience.
Another, online course about mastering remote working, is from the company Oyster, the course “Preparing for distributed work“. It’s a beneficial course for everyone who wants practical information about remote working.
