Communication

Any working team relies on effective and efficient communication, which is even more important for remote teams that don't frequently interact in person.

It might be challenging to get the communication right in remote teams, but it is not impossible. When done well, effective communication may bring distant teams closer together and enhance cooperation.

Overcommunication

Communication is obviously an important thing in every type of work, but especially in remote working, it’s a significant thing. I’ve seen talk about overcommunication, which is an intriguing subject. You will have to double down on whatโ€™s important for your team to know.

Overcommunication helps prevent misunderstandings, keeps key information top of mind, and makes sure everyone is on the same page.

Overcommunication is not the same as information overload, this is important to remember. And there’s also the possibility to overcommunicate the wrong way.

It’s crucial to overcommunicate especially when working in different time zones when people don’t work and collaborate at the same time. Messages get easily drowned in the message flow. So repeating the messages is essential so that they could reach all the team members.
