I saw this topic here on LinkedIn and I found it useful. This is one good method for #remote #collaboration.

What is brainwriting

Brainwriting is a technique that enables people to generate ideas independently and at their own pace rather than sharing them verbally in a group setting.

This method is frequently used in brainstorming sessions to overcome some of the traditional brainstorming’s limitations, such as social loafing (when individuals in a group contribute less effort than they would if be working alone), production blocking (when people find it difficult to generate ideas while others are speaking), and evaluation apprehension (where people are hesitant to share their ideas because they fear criticism or rejection).

It can be done anonymously, allowing people to freely share their ideas without fear of being judged by others.

One of the benefits of brainwriting is that it can increase the number and diversity of ideas generated compared to traditional brainstorming. Because individuals are free to generate ideas at their own pace and are not hindered by the presence of others, they are more likely to come up with unique and original ideas.

Brainwriting is also useful in situations where group brainstorming is not possible, such as remote teams, or when there are language barriers, or when some members of the team are introverted and find it hard to speak up in group settings.

Here are a couple of examples of the tools that could be used in brainwriting
