After researching the websites from way over 200 companies, I found there are basically three different kinds of information on how they show their orientation towards remote working, slightly caricatured:
① Shout out big and visibly that the company allows working remotely. Celebrate that they are a remote-friendly company.
② Remote working culture is written somewhere on the pages, so the information can be found pretty easily.
③ Very hard to find or information can’t be found at all.
In my opinion, remote working culture information must be found without searching, very easily. So please dear remote companies, make the information jump at peoples’ faces 😄 It’s always fascinating to see company culture written openly.
This is one way to attract talent and stay competitive when details make a difference.
A couple of useful pieces of information based on the websites are for example:
👉 100% remote or remote-first company
👉 Benefits to employees
👉 Company culture
👉 Company values
👉 Ways to grow with the company: learning and development
👉 Home office setups and budget
👉 Time off, vacation etc.
